L'uomo che costruiva il futuro tells an extraordinary story: that of Nicolò Govoni, a teenager labelled “difficult” who, at twenty, leaves everything behind and decides to devote himself to his dream: building a better future for children all over the world. Schools, education, independence and freedom. Brick by brick, Nicolò first goes through a long period of volunteering in a refugee camp and then decides, together with Giulia Cicoli and Sarah Ruzek, to found Still I Rise, a humanitarian organisation that opens schools for vulnerable children across Greece, Yemen, Syria, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Colombia. This is only the beginning of an incredible story that has changed many lives through an innovative educational “method” that places the person, awareness, knowledge, beauty and joy at the centre of everything. In 2020 Nicolò was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. On stage he recounts a journey still under way, a story made of people and many challenges, of obstacles, with the aim of reaching the goals he imagined.
