Artist and choreographer Ziya Azazi returns to the Teatro Cucinelli, together with two dancers, for a new chapter that brings to the stage the language matured over the years through Dervish in Progress: Sufi whirling transformed into an instrument of the present, a way of listening to the body and opening up to encounter.

Between solos, duets and choral moments, the three performers interweave rotation and contemporary dance in a living, ever-changing language. At the heart of the work lies the relationship between stage and audience: not spectators and performers kept apart, but a single experience shared in rhythm, in breath, in silence.

A contemporary ritual in which movement and stillness, individual and community, the visible and the perceived come together — and the audience is called not only to watch, but to let itself be drawn in.
