Christian Tarabbia
Christian Tarabbia graduated from the Cantelli Conservatoire in Novara and specialised at the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado in Milan under Lorenzo Ghielmi. He attended numerous masterclasses led by world-renowned professors, such as L.F. Tagliavini, J.C. Zehnder, P.D. Peretti, H. Vogel, and L. Lohmann. Alongside his musical studies, he obtained a degree in Music Archiving under Professor Raffaele Mellace from the University of Eastern Piedmont’s Faculty of Humanities. Since 2002, he has been an organist at the collegiate church in Arona and the art director of the international organ festival held annually in Arona and the Novara area. He has given organ concerts at numerous national and international venues and festivals across Europe, Russia and Australia. He has performed as a soloist and with various orchestras and ensembles in Italy and abroad. His interest in historical instruments and ancient and baroque literature has led him to play some of the most important organs in Europe, including ones made by G. Silbermann, F. Stellwagen, A. Schnitger, C. Antegnati, W. Hermans, and H. Scherer. As a teacher, Tarabbia has given masterclasses on Italian organ music at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music and various academies and conservatoires in Europe. Moreover, he has recorded CDs released by “Fugatto” and “Da Vinci Records”, acclaimed by the audience and critics. His performances have been broadcast by national radio and television stations in several countries.
