Biancamaria Rapaccini, violin – Alessandra Montani, cello – Irene Franceschini, piano

“Nahars” takes its name from the ancient name of the city of Terni, the hometown of all three musicians. But far more than geography binds them together. Their ensemble was founded in 1995, born from a shared and deeply felt artistic and musical vision.

Over the years, the trio has earned recognition in international competitions, refined their craft at the Imola Academy, and performed for prominent concert organizations. They have also premiered works by contemporary composers such as Silvia Colasanti, Enrico Marocchini, Guido Baggiani, Antonio D’Antò, and Pieralberto Cattaneo, who dedicated BergTrio to them in 2025.
After a period of pause, the trio returned to performing together with renewed passion for chamber music—strengthened not only by a profound personal friendship but also by the rich individual artistic experiences that followed. For fifteen years, Biancamaria and Alessandra performed together in the Quartetto di Roma, appearing in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Russia, the United States, and Japan. Their work as educators and their shared belief in the immeasurable richness that music can offer continue to inspire their artistic journey.
