Billi Brass Quintet

The Billi Brass Quintet, founded in 2012, won first prize at the 8th Young Musicians International Competition of the City of Treviso (2016) and in 2019 it was selected for the final phase of PJIBEC at the Royal Northern College of Music of Manchester (UK). From the outset the group has always proposed original sounds for silent short films of the first half of the twentieth century, commissioned to important composers including David Short and Mark Hamlyn. The group has participated in numerous festivals and competitions in Italy and abroad, including: Festival dei 2 Mondi di Spoleto, Stresa Festival, Festival delle Nazioni, Prix Italia 2018 (Capri, concert broadcast live by Rai Radio Classica), Chigiana Festival (Siena), Atlante Sonoro Festival (Rome), Giardini La Mortella (Ischia, NA) Eolie in Classico (Messina), XVI Puppet Festival (Varna, Bulgaria) and the Maurice André Festival (Saint - André - Capcèze, France).
