Acomplex yet transparent personality, a talented pianist, a writer and a composer. These worlds intersect, expressing themselves through the natural flow of a musical vocation that soars with the joyful energy of spontaneous improvisation and composition (Minardi, Classic Voice).

She has 9 albums, 7 scores, and 7 books to her credit. Mariani has also recorded for Da Vinci Classics Osaka. Film director Elisabetta Sgarbi chose Schumann from her CD “Fairy Tales” for the soundtrack of the film L’isola degli idealisti (The island of idealists). Schumann is a recurring figure in her life, as she graduated with the thesis Schumann: Pensiero e Fantasia. In her career, she has won 16 competitions with Kreisleriana and the Studi Sinfonici then released with Classic Voice (full version). As a tribute to Schumann, she has composed Kinderliana and Pezzi Sinfonici (recorded in 2019 and 2023). Her next CD: Op. 16, 26 and 28. In 2021, Visions featuring music by Ravel and Prokofieff was released. It was recognised as one of Spotify’s Best Releases and was also listed among the best records by MusicWeb International.The Virtuoso Piano Works CD, featuring a 25-minute improvisation, was praised by the US magazine Fanfare as "a unique milestone in the history of music.” Her extemporaneous performances are particularly appreciated by M. Argerich. Recently, she played Chef Tango on Piazza Verdi (RAI) and Musica Maestro has played her CD Mythos and Memories. At the age of 20, she won the first prize at the Liszt Competition in Lucca, the second prize at the Speranza International Competition in Taranto, and other recognitions in Messina, Udine, at the Roma International Piano Competition, and from the Italian Senate. In 2017 and 2018, Mariani obtained 5 Music Awards in the USA. At the age of 15, Maria Gabriella Mariani made her debut at the RiminiAterforum. She has performed in the USA and in Europe, at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the Società dei Concerti Foundation in Milan, and at the A. Scarlatti Association and the RAI Auditorium in Naples. She has also played her music at the Teatro San Carlo, Fondazione Ravello, S. Cecilia Conservatoire, the Gasteig in Munich, RSI in Lugano, and the Swedish Government. Mariani is currently on tour with Chopin’s Concerto no 2 with the Goldoni Orchestra and will be at the Flaine Festival in Paris in the summer.
