Domenico Masiello, professor at the “G. Briccialdi” Conservatory in Terni, graduated in violin with highest honors, praise, and special mention from the Conservatory of Matera. He furthered his studies at the “Aldo Ciccolini” Foundation in Trani, the Hochschule für Musik in Rostock, and through masterclasses with Beatrice Antonioni, Alessandro Milano, and Felix Ayo, who wrote: “Domenico Masiello has brilliant technique and a beautiful tone. He possesses innate musicality and great taste, essential qualities for any musician.

He maintains an intense concert activity as a soloist and chamber musician, winning numerous competitions (including 2nd Prize at the “Grand Prize Virtuoso” Music Competition in London) and performing in Italy, Germany, the UK, Spain, Turkey, and the USA.

In 2016, he made his debut at the Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall with the violin duo Octo Cordae, with whom he has recorded two albums for Farelive, broadcast by Radio 3, Radio Classica, Radio Capodistria, and Rete Toscana Classica.

A member of Uto Ughi’s Youth Orchestra from a young age, he is currently Concertmaster and Artistic Director of the “Soundiff” Youth Orchestra. He recently received great acclaim for his interpretation of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto Op. 64.

 

Sofia Proietti was born in Spoleto in 2000 and began studying piano at an early age.

She quickly distinguished herself, winning first prizes in international competitions in cities such as Rome, Spoleto, Città di Castello, Sangemini, Sansepolcro, Carsoli, and Bucchianico.

Since 2012, she has attended masterclasses held by Maestro Aquiles Delle Vigne (in Spoleto, Terni, Catania, Lucca, Stradella, and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg), and has also studied with Konstantin Bogino, Jerome Rose, Pasquale Iannone, and Massimiliano Ferrati.

In 2014, she performed as a soloist in Salzburg’s Wiener Saal, and in 2018 she played Mozart’s Concerto KV414 with orchestra. In 2020, she opened the Heidelberg Piano Week at the DAI. In 2016, she was a regional winner in the Steinway & Sons International Piano Competition (Central Italy selections), and in 2021, she gave two solo recitals at the Neckar Musikfestival in Heidelberg and Bad Wimpfen, Germany.

She graduated with highest honors from the “G. Briccialdi” Conservatory of Terni, studying under Carlo Guaitoli, and completed the Professional Diploma Course at the Accademia del Ridotto in Stradella with Andrzej Jasinski. She also holds a Master’s degree in Musicology from Sapienza University of Rome.

She is currently enrolled in the Chamber Music Master's Program at the conservatory and regularly performs at the Neckar Musikfestival in Heidelberg, as well as in duo with violinist Domenico Masiello in various concert seasons.
