Kateřina Ghannudi, born in Prague, graduated in harp and earned a degree with honors in Cultural Anthropology from Charles University. She maintains an active international concert career, performing both as a soloist and as a singer-harpist with several early music ensembles, including Quintana, Anonima Frottolisti, and Ensemble Micrologus. As a continuo player, she collaborates regularly with La Folia Barockorchester, Collegium 1704, Lautten Compagney Berlin, and Czech Ensemble Baroque.
She received her degree with top honors in Baroque Harp from the Conservatory of Verona, and has taken part in numerous prestigious festivals, including the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, KKL Luzern, Klarafestival, Barbican Centre, Wratislavia Cantans, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Teatro Nacional de San José (Costa Rica), FEMAS Sevilla, De Bijloke Gent, BaRoMus Rovinj, AMUZ Antwerpen, Carpino Folk Festival, Wigmore Hall, and the Al Bustan Festival in Beirut.
In 2016, she also completed a degree in Baroque Singing at the “G. Briccialdi” Conservatory in Terni. Kateřina has recorded extensively, producing several albums of early and folk music for Supraphon, Sony Classical, Glossa, Tactus, and Arta.
Beyond early music, she is engaged in innovative research on traditional Mediterranean music and the repertoire of the so-called Bohemian hacken-harfe. She also teaches historical harps at the Accademia Resonars in Assisi.
